Yes. Every Surahi piece is designed in Jaipur and handcrafted by our karigars (artisans), so small variations in embroidery and colour are part of its character and show it was made by hand.
What is gota patti work?
Gota patti is a traditional Rajasthani embroidery from Jaipur. Strips of metallic ribbon (gota) are cut, folded into leaves and flowers, and hand-stitched onto fabric such as chanderi or cotton silk. It gives a soft festive shine without feeling heavy.
How do I care for it?
We recommend dry cleaning for all hand-embroidered Surahi pieces. Store them folded in a soft muslin or cotton bag, away from moisture, and keep perfume away from the embroidery.
