How to measure
- Bust – around the fullest part of your bust, tape level under the arms.
- Waist – around your natural waist, the narrowest part above the navel.
- Hip – around the fullest part of your hips, feet together.
- Shoulder – from one shoulder tip to the other across the back.

- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Wear fitted clothing or measure over undergarments.
- Keep the tape snug, not tight, and stand relaxed.
- Measure twice. Ask someone to help for shoulder and lengths.

Stand straight against a wall, feet together. Measure from the floor to the top of your head.

From the edge of one shoulder to the other, across your back.

Bust
Around the fullest part of your bust, tape level under the arms.

Around your natural waist, the narrowest part. Bend sideways to find it.

Around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape level.

Sleeve length
From the shoulder point, over the elbow, to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent.

Around the fullest part of the upper arm, arm slightly flexed.

From the highest shoulder point down to where you want the hem to fall.

Is the Sheer Chanderi Midi Dress handmade?
Yes. Every Surahi piece is designed in Jaipur and handcrafted by our karigars (artisans), so small variations in embroidery and colour are part of its character and show it was made by hand.
What is chanderi fabric?
Chanderi is a lightweight handwoven fabric from Madhya Pradesh, usually woven from silk and cotton. It has a subtle sheen and a breathable, sheer-to-semi-sheer feel, which makes it ideal for festive wear in Indian weather.
How do I care for it?
Dry Clean Only Harsh Chemicals used in dry cleaning may change the color of embellishments Store in cotton bags or muslin cloth Avoid contact with perfumes, oils or any kind of liquids Iron only on reverse side & use low to medium setting or steam iron Too much friction may lead to pilling Rotate folding every few months to prevent permanent creasing in the embroidery
