Questions, answered
Is every Surahi piece handmade?
Yes. Every piece is designed and handcrafted in Jaipur by our karigars in small limited editions, so slight variations are part of its charm.
What is gota patti work?
Gota patti is a traditional Rajasthani embroidery where metallic ribbon is folded into leaves and flowers and hand-stitched onto fabric such as chanderi or cotton silk.
Which dupatta goes with a plain kurta?
Choose a dupatta with gota patti or zardozi work in a contrasting or tonal shade, so the dupatta becomes the hero of a solid kurta set.
How do I care for hand embroidered pieces?
We recommend dry cleaning. Store them folded in a muslin or cotton bag, away from moisture and perfume.
Can I get a piece made to my measurements?
Yes. Most kurta sets, dresses, shirts and jackets can be made to measure. Choose Made to measure on the product page and follow the guide. Standard tailoring takes 15 days, or 10 days with Express.
